Thomas Prattki
Thomas is the founder of arthaus.berlin, the Thomas Prattki Centre and the London International School of Performing Arts. He is also the former pedagogical director of the Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris.
As a performer he toured the globe as a member of the world-renowned company Mummenschanz, as a director and theatre pedagogue he worked in over 30 countries across all continents. He is particularly grateful for his 20 years as a director and teacher in the Guthrie Experience for Actors in Training Program at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis. His interest in the work of C.G. Jung, world mythology and Zen Buddhism lead him to the Dürckheim Centre in the Black Forest / Germany and the Eselen Institute in California. It is during these times that the cornerstones for an integral pedagogy begin to emerge.
With the foundation of the Thomas Prattki Centre he gives more space to the idea of the creative process as a mythic soul journey. Over the years a simple mantra emerges at the centre of his work: rewild. resoul. transform.
He is still not sure, what exactly this means, and is thankful he isn‘t.
After a year long retreat on a small Dutch island with his wife and daughter, surrounded by roaring seas and endless skies, he returns to Berlin in the Autumn of 2025.
