Maria Constanti
Maria explores and creates across the fields of poetry, performance and music. Grounded in the resonance of myth, fairy tale, and ritual, her artistic and facilitation journeys focus on opening and nurturing different spaces for listening and dialogue with the imagery that arises through the poetic articulations and disarticulation of the body, unveiling marginal narratives and embracing what has been exiled.
At the heart of her creative process lies her curiosity in the wisdom of the porous embodied space. She studied Classics (BA) and Folklore Studies (MA) in Greece and Cyprus, Embodied Dramaturgy, Integral Movement and Performance Studies (MA), in Berlin. She is a Certified Expressive Arts Facilitator, and an Unfold Method, Awareness in Movement, Practitioner. As an oud player, she has been trained in the modal musical traditions of the Eastern Mediterranean.
