Louie Gardiner (Dr)
Louie has been described as a hard-to-categorise creative who brings multi-modal artistry to life in all she does personally and professionally.
Using herself and her own experiences as the sourcing ground for her living research (and subsequent doctorate) she founded, and now teaches, the praxis of Presence in Action (PIA). She is the pedagogical guardian of the PIA apprenticeship learning ecosystem, actively supporting the training, development and integrity of PIA practitioners involved in the arts, healing, educational, community, cultural and business/professional contexts.
Her ongoing PIA-infused living research – the life-enhancing embodiment of Primal Play – inspires and invokes her own and other people’s artistic expression.
As an emerging artist, Louie finds herself integrating together poetry, poetic prose, pictures and performance art. She does not shy away from surfacing and inter-weaving uncomfortable contradictions; in particular, between the pure presence and embodiment of Innocence alongside her raw expression of rage and disappointment when faced with the abuse, denial and hypocrisy evident in so many parts of the world.
