Carlos Cerrara
Carlos is a traveller, performing artist and guide of creative processes, with over 20 years of experience in teaching and leading workshops across Europe, Latin America, and Asia. His pedagogical approach fosters an embodied exploration of the poetics of space and the relational dynamics between the Self and the forces of life. Carlos’ research is deeply rooted in the interdisciplinary study of movement and the use of masks, both as performance tools and as magical objects in ritual contexts.
His work draws from a variety of traditions, including contemporary physical theatre, somatic practices, and mask work, with a particular focus on how these elements can be integrated to create transformative performance experiences. Carlos has taught in universities and independent institutions, collaborating with diverse artists and communities worldwide.
